How do we use Tyk in APIQuality?
Direct deployment of APIs
Configure and deploy your APIs automatically and securely thanks to the scripts and pipelines integrated with Tyk.
Once the configuration is set up at the organisational level, you will be able to visualise all available APIs in your Tyk interface and access them from the APIQuality catalogue.
Management of synchronised environments with Tyk
APIQuality allows you to easily manage the deployment of your APIs, thus ensuring that the configuration of the gateway and routes are aligned at each stage of the lifecycle of your APIs in Tyk.

Some FAQs about Tyk
Can I import my APIs directly from Tyk to APIQuality?
Yes, although you must take into account that these APIs must be previously registered in Tyk and you must have access to their configuration. Once the synchronisation has been configured at an organisational level, you will be able to easily view and manage your APIs from the APIQuality catalogue.
How do I deploy an API in Tyk from APIQuality?
APIQuality offers a guided deployment form where you can configure key parameters such as gateways, categories and endpoints. In addition, you can use an automatically generated api.yaml file from your OpenAPI and a project template, allowing you to simplify and centralise deployment.
Do validation rules specific to Tyk apply?
Yes, APIQuality includes a set of validation rules specifically designed to ensure good practices in Tyk. These rules cover aspects such as definition in the appropriate version (v3.0.x or compatible), parameter validation or the absence of duplicate paths to maintain consistency and security in all your projects.
What stages are available for working with Tyk?
Tyk currently presents the life cycle implemented in APIQuality, distinguishing three stages:
Initializer:the project is created to be deployed in Tyk.
Deployer: carries out the automated deployment in Tyk.
Synchronizer: synchronises the deployed data within Tyk itself.
Is it possible to work with multiple Tyk environments from APIQuality?
Yes, APIQuality allows you to configure several environments (development, production, etc.) from a single platform, as each one is associated with a specific Tyk gateway. This allows you to adapt the configurations and metrics of your APIs to the needs of each environment.
What are the benefits of APIQuality over using the Tyk portal directly?
While Tyk’s portal is a solid tool for direct API Gateway management, APIQuality adds a layer of abstraction, automation and validation that is very useful if you manage multiple APIs, environments and teams.
