PLu-ins, Curations and actions

Plug-ins

Plug-ins, also known as “on-ramp plug-ins,” are the mechanism API hub uses to connect to and ingest API metadata from various sources. Think of them as the connectors or data importers for your API hub. They allow API hub to automatically discover and pull in information about your APIs from different platforms where they are managed or defined

Curations

Curation is the process of transforming and enriching the API metadata that has been ingested by the plug-ins. Its primary goal is to ensure consistency and a unified view of your API portfolio within API hub.

Actions

Actions are triggered workflows or automations that are initiated by events within the platform. While the term “actions” can also refer to API Security actions within Apigee to deny or allow traffic, in the context of API hub, they are about extending the platform’s capabilities to automate processes.
